This year’s American Studies Workshop in Zagreb proposes as its central concern the question of the meaning of the past, understood as a living history, and its interaction with the practice of American Studies. The Heidelberg Center for American Studies invites applications from Ph.D. students in the field of American Studies or related research areas for this annual one-week conference that provides young and aspiring scholars with the opportunity to present and discuss their Ph.D. projects in front of an international audience. Concentric, a journal for literary and cultural studies published by the Department of English, National Taiwan Normal University, is inviting submissions for its March 2016 issue. European Association for American Studies invites students from all EAAS member states to contribute to this conference by either offering a poster presentation, or by presenting a 15-minute paper. Group (poster) presentations are welcome too.
